They challenge the negative automatic thoughts (NATS) that you are probably used to thinking, and they also challenge limiting or negative beliefs you may have about yourself or about not being able to do something, and replace them with positive thoughts and beliefs which instil confidence, belief, positivity, ambition, etc.

They can be a very successful method to help deal with stress and anxiety as well as assisting with self-confidence and achieving a positive mental attitude for everyday life & sports.
